Some stated that breastmilk is better protected from exposure to the environment with this pump. The Purely Yours pump accomplishes this by using a patented diaphragm to create a barrier protecting the pump and tubing from contamination.  It’s reasonably fast and takes about 15-20 minutes to pump each breast until the second letdown. This pump accepts any standard sized bottle and is easy to carry around. It comes with a cooling bag and freezer packs to keep everything cold once you pump while the carry-all bag is elegant and discreet and everything fits in it. The suction power of Purely Yours is good and you can moderate the suction to quite hard and rapid to soft and slow. When you first start pumping, you can set it on a short quick cycle with low suction to simulate what your baby does when he first attaches to the breast. Once let-down begins to happen, you adjust to a longer cycle and stronger suction.

Few mothers expressed their disgust over the pump with two attachments expected to pump both breasts at once because even at the highest setting, it doesn’t meet that expectation. The pump also makes an annoying high-pitched beeping sound with each in and out cycle. The slowest speed doesn’t produce a long suction even with on the highest setting. The replacements parts are easy to order online and are cheap, but it’s still a pain. The custom-size flanges are nice to have, except you have to put the funnel inside of the flange and it fogs up and makes it hard to see your placement and how much milk is coming out, and also makes it hard to get a good seal since there are two pieces of plastic to push up against your breasts and try to seal.
